Nature’s Imprint: Nature-Inspired Fabric Printing Workshop

    Join our hands-on workshop to explore the art of nature-inspired block printing on fabric. 

    Participants can BYO (bring your own) articles of clothing or totes to add their unique, personalized designs! Participants will leave with a hand-carved stamp and newly printed fabric item(s). Students can choose to do a stamp based on existing designs that will be provided or a design of your choice! The stamps will be a maximum size of 3”x4”. No experience is required. All supplies will be provided.

    About blockprinting: Linocut is a printmaking technique that involves carving a design into a piece of linoleum, applying ink to the carved surface, and then transferring the ink onto paper or paper.

    DATES & TIMES:

    • Tuesday, July 22 at 7:00pm at Strange Fellows Brewing
    • Wednesday, July 23 at 7:00pm at Strange Fellows Brewing
    • Thursday, July 24 at 7:00pm at Strange Fellows Brewing

    LENGTH: 1.5 hours

    LOCATIONS:

    • Strange Fellows Brewing, 1345 Clark Dr. Vancouver. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your workshop time to allow time to check in. There will be somone to help you check-in at the brewery.

    AGES: Ages 12+ (Minors must be accompanied by an adult), Suitable for beginners and up, Suitable for beginners and up

    PRICE: $35 per person per workshop

    ACCESSIBILITY: This location is wheelchair accessible, with a wheelchair accessible, gender-neutral bathroom. We will communicate verbally with members of the public using listening and spoken language in English. Seating in the studio is varied, some may have chairs or stools at short height, counter, or bar height seating. Weight capacities of seating is unknown. Please let us know if you have any accessibility needs.

    About the Artist

    Christina is a Mexican-Canadian artist who finds their connection to nature through printmaking and mixed media applications. Their art is inspired by the natural landscape in the Pacific Northwest and the desert through minimalist expressions of very intricate and complex environments. Christina loves to teach the art of linoprint to students to share the growing art form in this region. They love to bring students to learn new things and be inspired by students’ creativity.
